Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday to pay back over $5 million in book profits, the New York Post reported.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"8.2311557788945\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">NEW: JCOPE passes a resolution requiring former Gov. Andrew Cuomo to turn his book proceeds over to the Attorney General\u2019s Office within 30 days.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jon Campbell (@JonCampbellNY) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JonCampbellNY\/status\/1470808388409995271?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 14, 2021<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>JCOPE approved the resolution on Tuesday in a 12-1 vote, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/12\/14\/andrew-cuomo-ordered-to-return-pandemic-book-profits-to-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according <\/a>to the NYP. Cuomo has 30 days to pay back the $5.1 million in proceeds to Democratic New York Attorney General <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/29\/new-york-attorney-general-letitia-james-launches-bid-for-governor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Letitia James<\/a>, who will determine where the money will go.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution follows JCOPE\u2019s vote in November to rescind its <a href=\"https:\/\/jcope.ny.gov\/system\/files\/documents\/2021\/11\/resolution-21-03.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">decision<\/a> to allow Cuomo to profit from his book, \u201cAmerican Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic,\u201d while still governor, the NYP reported.
