We learned of his arrest Friday afternoon and terminated his employment today,\u201d a CNN spokesperson said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctinsider.com\/news\/article\/CNN-fires-Connecticut-producer-accused-of-16699201.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a> on Monday to Hearst Connecticut Media Group.<\/p>\n<p>Griffin, 44, was arrested on Friday by the FBI after being charged with three counts of \u201cusing a facility of interstate commerce to attempt to entice minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Among the devastating claims in the indictment is that Griffin reportedly groomed girls as young as seven years old. Prosecutors claim Griffin found girls online through the services Kik and Google Hangouts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/12\/11\/us\/john-griffin-charged-arrested-minors-unlawful-sexual-activity\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a> reported regarding the indictment;<\/p>\n<p><em>According to an indictment filed on Thursday, Griffin allegedly paid for and kept an online profile on a \u201cBDSM dating, Fetish, and Kink Site\u201d for several years leading up to July 2020, on which he allegedly wrote he was looking for women who were \u201csexually \u2018submissive\u2019 and \u2018open-minded.&#8217;\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>During conversations on separate online platforms, Griffin allegedly said he believed in \u201ca way of life\u201d in which \u201cwomen are sexually subservient and inferior to men,\u201d according to the indictment.
