Scientists do not actually know if there is a correlation between storms and a warmer climate.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>President Joe Biden could not let a tragedy go by \u2014 even one of the worst tornadoes in living memory \u2014 without politicizing it for the left\u2019s favorite cause: the crusade against climate change.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>With survivors still desperate for rescue, and the bodies still being recovered, a journalist asked Biden whether the Kentucky storm was a result of climate change. He <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/11\/jjoe-biden-laments-failure-to-stop-global-warming-after-deadly-tornados\/\">answered<\/a> that while he did not know about this particular storm, he would ask the Environmental Protection Agency to investigate.<\/p>\n<p>As Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/biden-uses-tornado-tragedy-push-climate-agenda-suggests-storms-consequence-warming\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"21\">\n<p>While speaking to reporters and virtually assessing the tornado damage from Wilmington, Delaware, Biden was asked whether he \u201ccould conclude that these storms and the intensity have to do with climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll I know is that the intensity of the weather across the board has some impacts as a consequence of the warming of the planet and climate change,\u201d Biden said. \u201cThe specific impact on these specific storms, I can\u2019t say at this point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m going to be asking the EPA and others to take a look at that,\u201d Biden added. \u201cThe fact is that we all know everything is more intense when the climate is warming. Everything. And obviously it has some impact here, but I can\u2019t give you a quantitative read on that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The problem is that storms have not become more \u201cintense\u201d due to climate change. The evidence is actually inconclusive.<\/p>\n<p>As former Obama administration official Steven Koonin wrote in his recent book on climate change, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Unsettled-Climate-Science-Doesnt-Matters\/dp\/1950665798\/?tag=breitbart035-20\"><em>Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn\u2019t, and Why It Matters<\/em><\/a>, \u201churricanes and tornados show no changes attributable to human influences\u201d (112), and that \u201cthe best we can say is that, if anything, U.S. tornadoes have become more benign as the globe has warmed over the past seventy-five years, and we have no credible method for projecting future changes\u201d (126).<\/p>\n<p>Even an Associated Press \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/explainer-was-tornado-outbreak-related-to-climate-change\/\">explainer<\/a>\u201d struggles to accept the idea that climate change is linked to the Kentucky tornadoes: \u201cAttributing a specific storm like Friday\u2019s to the effects of climate change remains very challenging,\u201d it concluded. However, the AP also strained to cite scientists who said that a warmer climate could produce more thunderstorms in the wintertime.<br \/><em>Joel B.
