They claim that Thomas invited their son to a backyard Halloween display to see her monkey named Gia.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/12\/10\/texas-jeff-banks-ex-stripped-girlfriend-sued-over-monkey-bite\/\" target=\" _blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lawsuit<\/a> claims that Thomas told children that the monkey was trained to give people high fives. But when the Clinkenbeard\u2019s son tried the trick, the monkey bit him; instead, the <i>New York Post<\/i> reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInstead of giving a high five, Danielle Thomas\u2019 monkey aggressively bit down on [the boy] C.C.\u2019s hand and refused to let go,\u201d the family\u2019s filing reads. \u201cC.C. was forced to manually pry the monkey\u2019s jaw open. There was so much blood that C.C. was unable to see the full extent of the injury.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The boy and his friend quickly went to the nearby home of a man they knew was a doctor, and he cleaned and dressed the bite wound.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The parents also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/college\/2021\/12\/10\/danielle-thomas-austin-texas-football-jeff-banks-girlfriend-lawsuit-monkey\/6459277001\/\" target=\" _blank\" rel=\"noopener\">say<\/a> in their lawsuit that when they spoke to Thomas about the incident, she seemed more worried about her monkey than about the couple\u2019s son. \u201cInstead of showing any semblance of care for an injured child, Danielle Thomas was instead worried about the risk of her monkey being taken away,\u201d the lawsuit alleges, <i>USA Today<\/i> added.<\/p>\n<p>The suit further claims that Thomas steadfastly refused to supply the family with the monkey\u2019s vaccination records, so the boy had to undergo painful rabies shots as a preventative. The Clinkenbeard\u2019s are asking for medical cost compensation and punitive damages for \u201csignificant harassment and embarrassment\u201d from the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas has claimed that she never invited the kids to see the monkey and even said she was unaware that the boy went into the backyard. However, she also denied knowing about the bite until later. \u201cNeither did I know anything about a bite!
