But \u201cin all [of Smollett\u2019s] accounts of what happened, he mentioned a mask.\u201d&nbsp;If prosecutors had charged all the battery counts the same, \u201cI think we probably would have found him guilty\u201d on all six, she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>It took the group of six women and six men nine hours to make a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oz3FDdk1lLM\">decision<\/a> regarding Smollett.<\/p>\n<p>But not all of them were convinced special prosecutors proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt in the beginning of deliberations on Wednesday evening, according to the juror.<\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jussie Smollett verdict: Reactions pour in after actor found guilty for staging hate crime\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oz3FDdk1lLM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was not evenly split, but there were some doubters,\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n<p>It was not that doubters thought Smollett was innocent, the woman explained, but they wanted additional time to review the evidence and discuss it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just hope that [Smollett and his attorneys] know that we went in there with an open mind,\u201d the juror told the <em>Sun-Times<\/em>. \u201cI listened to both sides.
