He has also lost some of his military friends, NBC Washington <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcwashington.com\/news\/local\/northern-virginia\/virginia-community-rallies-around-veteran-after-house-fire\/2906114\/\">reported<\/a> Thursday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cMany of them were committing suicide,\u201d he explained. \u201cAnd I was well on my way in that direction, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, art therapy saved his life and he wanted to use it to help other people in need of support, so he traveled around the country hosting therapy workshops.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, he was homeless and living in his vehicle.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Nonprofit group Hero Homes builds houses for disabled veterans in the county and in May, the organization <a href=\"https:\/\/www.herohomesloudoun.org\/project-4-av-house\/?fbclid=IwAR1ufmj-KY1PzmIQDKUCxROqrtjEY3Mb6zxh8M_BvYo9Tp6JZIDZywqdqjo\">built<\/a> one in Purcellville for Avegalio, also known as AV, to enjoy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HeroHomesloudoun\/posts\/2519245888382389\" data-width=\"640\" readability=\"24.475\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/1479070965733225\/posts\/2519245888382389\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\" readability=\"6.675\">\n<p>This.
