Ron DeSantis (R) on Friday announced a series of actions the state plans to take against President Biden\u2019s \u201creckless border policies,\u201d barring contractors assisting ferreting illegal immigrants from doing business in Florida, requiring private companies involved in facilitating illegal immigration to \u201cpay the state restitution for each person they are facilitating,\u201d and cutting state ties with facilities housing illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis made the announcement during a press conference in Jacksonville, Florida, noting the country is \u201cdealing with the fallout from the reckless border policies of the Biden administration\u201d and that the Sunshine State sent support to Texas five months ago because of the crisis on the Southern border.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Roughly 200,000 people illegally enter the country every month, DeSantis said, explaining that many of the people who poured in&nbsp;\u201csaid their ultimate destination was the state of Florida.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt obviously was affecting us. We could tell off the bat. But what would happen was they would identify, they would have someone coming in illegally, turn them over to the Feds, and then the Feds would just put them on an airplane somewhere, put them on a bus\u201d in different areas of the country, he explained, noting this happened in&nbsp;Jacksonville, Florida, as the Biden administration shipped illegal immigrants in the \u201cwee hours of the morning\u201d with no advance notice to the state. He added that this ended tragically, as a 24-year-old posed as a minor and ultimately committed a murder.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the border had been secure and the policies weren\u2019t so reckless, that would not have happened. And we see this time and time again,\u201d he said, adding that the cartels are \u201cjust eating our lunch.\u201d Florida filed suit against Biden several months ago challenging the catch and release policies, and while he said the case is still pending, he said they are seeing \u201cmovement.\u201d However, he said more must be done. Because of that, Florida is proposing a series of legislative reforms to fight against the Biden border crisis.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>One of the priorities is to \u201csay to any of these contractors who are involved in ferreting people \u2014 whether it\u2019s buses, charter planes, what have you \u2014 any of those folks who are involved in facilitating this type of illegal migration in the state of Florida, they\u2019re going to be barred from doing any business with any state or local government agency in the state of Florida,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just cannot be doing contracts with companies that are knowingly and recklessly facilitating bringing people here into our state illegally. I think that will be very, very important,\u201d he announced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m also going to require that any private entity that\u2019s involved in facilitating illegal migration into Florida owes the state restitution for each person they are facilitating. Whether they\u2019re bringing, whether they\u2019re harboring,\u201d he said, explaining it costs taxpayers in a variety of ways, from criminal cases to drugs to health care.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery single person will be charged. The entities will have to provide restitution for the state of Florida,\u201d he announced, stating they will also strengthen the&nbsp;Sanctuary Cities law.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6402102\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" readability=\"32\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Sanctuary-Cities-Protest-Anti-Trump-Illegal-Immigration-Los-Angeles-640x480-Getty.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-6402102\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Sanctuary-Cities-Protest-Anti-Trump-Illegal-Immigration-Los-Angeles-640x480-Getty.jpg\" alt=\"sanctuary\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">File Photo: MARK RALSTON\/AFP\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to make sure that the local jurisdiction is not assisting state law enforcement in our investigation on whether somebody has been brought here illegally, that that constitutes a sanctuary policy,\u201d he said, noting they are also seeking to strengthen E-Verify enforcement as well.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, as DeSantis\u2019s team <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/10\/desantis-issue-emergency-order-barring-state-licenses-florida-facilities-house-illegal-alien-children\/\">told<\/a> Breitbart News exclusively, they are issuing an emergency rule on facilities housing illegal minors in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Illegal minors are coming into the state, and DeSantis said the problem is it is much more lucrative to take foreigners than to take children in Florida. As an example, DeSantis said they get $158 for a foster child, but $500-$1,400 if someone is here illegally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd we want to make sure licenses go to facilities who are helping kids in Florida,\u201d he added, pointing out that the \u201crobust\u201d proposals will be discussed in the legislature.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, DeSantis said, they have a responsibility to stand up to an administration that has \u201cjust decided that they don\u2019t want to have a secure border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t get to make that decision,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Florida Gov.
