a firearm, and one count of curfew violation, Rittenhouse was cleared of all charges in the course of his trial in November.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the shooting, despite video evidence showing Rittenhouse acted in self-defense, social media platforms banned all statements of support for the teenager \u2014 long before he had his day in court.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/11\/16\/bokhari-silicon-valley-found-guilty-rittenhouse-long-before-his-trial\/\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"12.461538461538\">\n<p>For the \u201ccrime\u201d of defending himself against violent rioters who were captured on video trying to assault him,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/11\/08\/facebook-ban-on-supporting-rittenhouse-wears-thin-as-prosecution-stumbles\/\">Facebook instituted a ban on any statements defending the teenager<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While it seems to have relaxed its enforcement, Twitter implemented similar policies shortly after the Kenosha riot,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2020\/08\/30\/journalist-cassandra-fairbanks-suspended-from-twitter-over-kyle-rittenhouse-support\/\">suspending users \u2014 including journalists&nbsp;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2020\/08\/30\/journalist-cassandra-fairbanks-suspended-from-twitter-over-kyle-rittenhouse-support\/\">\u2014<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2020\/08\/30\/journalist-cassandra-fairbanks-suspended-from-twitter-over-kyle-rittenhouse-support\/\">&nbsp;for expressing support for Rittenhouse<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If Silicon Valley leftists had their way, Rittenhouse wouldn\u2019t be able to raise money for his legal fees either.&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2020\/aug\/27\/kyle-rittenhouse-gofundme-campaigns-removed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">GoFundMe banned all fundraisers<\/a>&nbsp;in support of the teenager shortly after the Kenosha riot.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Even as the prosecution\u2019s case fell apart in court, Silicon Valley continued to censor pro-Rittenhouse posts, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2021\/11\/15\/senate-candidate-josh-mandel-slams-silicon-valley-thugs-after-facebook-censors-rittenhouse-meme\/\">including ones from Ohio Senate Candidate
