Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Bill Hagerty (R-TN) blasted President Joe Biden\u2019s economic policy as Democrats try to push through his so-called \u201cBuild Back Better\u201d agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Hagerty said Biden\u2019s policies \u201chave absolutely driven inflation through the roof.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe policies that we\u2019ve seen coming out of this Biden administration have absolutely driven inflation through the roof, they\u2019ve created shortages, and if people anticipate that goods are going to cost more tomorrow than they do today, they are desperately buying,\u201d Hagerty argued. \u201cIt\u2019s self-fulfilling if you think about it. Inflation is a self-fulfilling prophecy. That\u2019s what\u2019s happening right now. Then we\u2019ve incentivized unemployment \u2014 lots of people aren\u2019t coming back into the workforce, or they\u2019re coming back slowly.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve seen supply chain dislocations, that\u2019s true, but we\u2019ve also seen massive increases in prices,\u201d he continued. \u201cI mean, think about what Biden did when he killed the Keystone XL pipeline. I mean, he\u2019s done everything to really wage war on the oil and gas industry. And gas prices are through the roof. Everything that we buy here in America has got to be transported. It has a massively inflationary&nbsp;impact, and it\u2019s hurting us all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blackburn added that Biden\u2019s \u201cBuild Back Broke\u201d plan is resulting in everything \u201ccosting more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInflation is a tax because every time you go to the gas pump, the grocery store, every time you get ready to order something online, everything is costing more,\u201d Blackburn advised. \u201cSo, inflation is a tax that everybody pays.
