In the House-passed version of the bill, the CTC expansion would cost $185 billion, as it would expire after 2022.<\/p>\n<p>However, the CBO said it would cost $1.597 trillion if it were to continue past that deadline.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"attachment_19084922\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"34\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2021\/12\/GettyImages-1237075350.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-19084922\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/GettyImages-1237075350-1024x683-1.jpg\" alt width=\"990\" height=\"660\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Sen. (Drew Angerer\/Getty)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Other significant costs with sunsets include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Child care and preschool funding; the provision would cost $752 billion if it were made permanent instead of ending after 2027<\/li>\n<li>The increased state and local tax (SALT) deduction would cost $752 billion if the bill were to remove limits on the deduction after 2025<\/li>\n<li>Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies would cost $220 billion instead of $74 billion if ACA subsidies were made permanent instead of expiring after 2025 and 2026<\/li>\n<li>The increased earned income tax credit (EITC) would cost $135 billion instead of $13 if were made permanent instead of ending after 2022.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This study mirrors other analyses that found the Democrats\u2019 behemoth legislation would cost far more if the sunsets were to continue past their arbitrary deadlines.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/15\/study-build-back-better-act-costs-4-91-trillion\/\">noted<\/a> that the legislation would cost $4.91 trillion over ten years if the bill\u2019s sunsets were made permanent.<\/p>\n<p>The CBO\u2019s analysis of the Build Back Better may impact moderate Democrats senators, who remain concerned about the bill\u2019s impact on inflation.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"10.451612903226\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Democrats\u2019 Build Back Better (BBB) bill will add millions of new immigrants to the U.S. population in the first 10 years, on top of an amnesty for roughly 6.5 million people, according to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/veP26crbwG\">https:\/\/t.co\/veP26crbwG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1461721489993043979?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 19, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/06\/joe-manchin-lot-of-changes-needed-in-build-back-better-act\/\">said<\/a> that the Build Back Better Act needs a \u201clot of changes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The West Virginia Democrat has also said that he remains skeptical about President Joe Biden\u2019s claims that the bill would help curb inflation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven\u2019t\u2019 seen that. I\u2019ve\u2019 heard that.
