He allowed the cruelest tax of all, inflation, to skyrocket,\u201d Cotton said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, we learned that inflation is at the highest level in more than a generation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Cotton\u2019s statement also criticized Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg in his attacks on Biden\u2019s inflation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a direct result of President Biden\u2019s trillion dollar spending binges, his appointment of an inexperienced and absentee Transportation Secretary who mangled our supply chains, and his anti-energy policies that have driven up the price of gas,\u201d Cotton wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Buttigieg reportedly took two months of parental leave after he adopted twin daughters with his husband, Chasten.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Chasten and I are beyond thankful for all the kind wishes since first sharing the news that we\u2019re becoming parents.
