He was 33.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreliminary information is that his death stems from a medical issue, and our investigators currently have no reason to believe otherwise,\u201d&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/sports\/demaryius-thomas-broncos-star-dead\">said<\/a> Officer Tim Lupo, public information officer for the police department in Roswell, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas\u2019 cousin \u2014 LaTonya Bonseigneur \u2014 told the Associated Press that he had been suffering from seizures and the family believes these symptoms were the cause of death.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had been suffering from seizures for over a year, and we believe he had a seizure when he was showering,\u201d Bonseigneur <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/nfl\/news\/former-broncos-star-demaryius-thomas-dies-at-33-pro-bowl-wide-receiver-helped-denver-win-super-bowl\/\">said<\/a> early Friday. \u201cWe\u2019re not sure when he died. The Broncos franchise won their third Super Bowl that season, their first since 1998 season.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cD.T. was a better person than he was a player, and he was a Hall of Fame player,\u201d Manning <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NickiJhabvala\/status\/1469223767016722433?s=20\">said<\/a> in a statement. \u201cThat tells you how good of a person he was.
