The decision was made a year ago. The culmination was a threat to one of our drivers,\u201d Larsson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svt.se\/nyheter\/lokalt\/uppsala\/postnord-stoppar-paketutdelning-i-gottsunda-valsatra\">told<\/a> SVT.<\/p>\n<p>According to the broadcaster, the delivery of regular mail and heavier deliveries have continued in the area but Postnord has claimed smaller packages, which can often be consumer electronics, have been targeted and will no longer be delivered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHome&nbsp;deliveries can be picked up at the post office or at our delivery point on Pustgatan in Fyrislund,\u201d Larsson told the broadcaster.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"5.7464788732394\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Courier Stops Delivery to Swedish No-Go Suburb Due to Danger <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/qlG8kYiZQq\">https:\/\/t.co\/qlG8kYiZQq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1100796703328874499?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 27, 2019<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Zorica Petkovic, a resident of the area, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svt.se\/nyheter\/lokalt\/uppsala\/jag-har-inte-kant-mig-diskriminerad-pa-30-ar-i-sverige-forran-nu\">told<\/a> SVT she felt discriminated against after the company blacklisted her area for package deliveries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere have been problems here, but a lot is being done to make it better. And it\u2019s gotten better. I understand the working situation of the drivers, but there must be other solutions, with the help of other social bodies,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Gottsunda-Vals\u00e4tra has<a href=\"https:\/\/unt.se\/nyheter\/uppsala\/gottsunda-fortsatt-utsatt-omrade-5324948.aspx\"> been listed<\/a> as a \u201cparticularly vulnerable\u201d area since February of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cParticularly vulnerable\u201d areas are characterised as having aspects such as religious extremism, parallel social structures, difficulty for police to carry out their duties, and proximity to similar areas, while merely \u201cvulnerable\u201d areas have high crime and high rates of poverty.
