Marco Rubio (R-FL) plastered American executives that capitulate to the Chinese Communist Party.<\/p>\n<p>During an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/sen-rubio-us-dependence-china-creating-policy-bad-for-america\">Fox Business<\/a>, Rubio said that the trend is \u201cbad for America\u201d and \u201cgood for China.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s happened here over the last 20 years, since China was admitted to the World Trade Organization, is our economy, and many of our most important companies have become heavily dependent on China,\u201d Rubio explained. \u201cThis dependence leads to the fact that, on a daily basis now, we have not just government leaders, but major and important American corporations and leaders of industry advocating for policies and taking actions that are bad for America and are good for China.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have American investors and we have people in this country who invest in companies that are building weapons designed to kill American soldiers in the future,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd they do not care, because when forced to choose between billions more dollars in profits from China or the well-being of the country they live in and supposedly call \u2018home,\u2019 they choose the profits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd that\u2019s incredibly damaging. And I think the Chinese played it that way. They understood that it\u2019s a vulnerability and they continue to exploit it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Rubio mentioned, American executives are hesitant to contradict the Chinese government\u2019s official narratives.<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Dimon \u2014 the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, which recently became the first foreign company permitted to take control of a securities business in China \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/jpmorgan-ceo-apologizes-after-mild-joke-about-chinese-communist-party\">apologized<\/a> after joking that his firm could \u201cmake a bet\u201d with the Chinese Communist Party about which entity would last longer. \u201cI can\u2019t say that in China. They are probably listening anyway,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI regret my recent comment because it\u2019s never right to joke about or denigrate any group of people, whether it\u2019s a country, its leadership, or any part of a society and culture,\u201d Dimon said one day later. \u201cSpeaking in that way can take away from constructive and thoughtful dialogue in society, which is needed now more than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI noted the reports about how the individual involved has sincerely reflected,\u201d responded foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian. \u201cI think this is the right attitude.
