The couple was arraigned on Saturday. All three family members were placed in the same correctional facility, but have been separated and have no contact with one another.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The parents each face four criminal charges for involuntary manslaughter after reports that their son allegedly used a handgun purchased by the father as a gift for his son on Black Friday.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Monday,&nbsp;Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald revealed new information during an interview on NBC\u2019s \u201cToday\u201d during which she was asked if it was possible that school officials could face charges related to the tragedy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt\u2019s possible,\u201d McDonald responded, offering no further comment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/michigan-school-shooting-suspect-likely-had-gun-in-backpack-during-parent-teacher-meeting-before-attack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">previously reported<\/a> that the alleged student also likely had the handgun in his backpack during a meeting with teachers and parents just hours before using it in the shooting spree:<\/p>\n<p><em>McDonald told&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AC360\/status\/1466587311622303746\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>&nbsp;on Thursday that there was a \u201cvery strong possibility\u201d the suspect was already carrying the weapon during a meeting with his parents and school officials earlier in the day before the shooting.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI think that it\u2019s already been public that he did have the weapon. During COVID, they don\u2019t use lockers, so they just have backpacks,\u201d McDonald said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Three students were reported dead on Tuesday.
