What, what has it gotten them to that point where they think that that\u2019s necessary and what are the results, the real world results, you\u2019ve seen as, as a result of that?\u201d Quick asked the Pfizer CEO.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we will need the fourth dose. I\u2019ve said that multiple times. With the previous, I was projecting that that will be on 12 months after the third dose,\u201d Bourla <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/12\/08\/cnbc-transcript-pfizer-chairman-and-ceo-albert-bourla-speaks-with-cnbcs-squawk-box-today.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">answered<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith Omicron, we need to wait and see because we have very little information. We may need it faster,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is already recommending a third booster shot for all eligible Americans 18 years old and older.<\/p>\n<p>The CDC recommends the current booster shot six months after full vaccination for a person who received the two Moderna or Pfizer shots. Those who received the single-shot Johnson &amp; Johnson vaccine are recommended to receive a booster shot after two months.<\/p>\n<p>As the CNBC report noted, Israel is already at work on a fourth booster shot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t know when it will happen; I hope very much that it won\u2019t be within six months, like this time, and that the third dose will last for longer,\u201d Israeli Health Ministry Director General Nachman Ash said in an <a title=\"interview\" href=\"https:\/\/103fm.maariv.co.il\/programs\/media.aspx?ZrqvnVq=IHILJD&amp;c41t4nzVQ=GJL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">interview<\/a> with Radio 103FM, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-09-12\/israel-preparing-for-possible-fourth-covid-vaccine-dose\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The information comes as a growing number of Americans have concerns regarding the changing requirements with COVID-19 vaccines and vaccine mandates.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/fauci-tells-cnn-its-a-matter-of-when-not-if-definition-of-fully-vaccinated-changes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that Dr. Anthony Fauci said during a CNN interview on Wednesday that it\u2019s only a matter of time before the definition of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 changes:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Dr. Fauci says it\u2019s \u201ca matter of when, not if\u201d the definition of \u2018fully vaccinated\u2019 changes <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/O1BATviAoG\">pic.twitter.com\/O1BATviAoG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 RNC Research (@RNCResearch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1468625314586656768?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Fauci\u2019s words came in response to a question from CNN host Kate Bolduan who asked, \u201cIs it a matter now of when, not if, the definition of fully vaccinated changes?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cMy own personal opinion, Kate, is what you said is correct. It\u2019s going to be a matter of when, not if,\u201d Fauci answered.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>At another point during the interview, Fauci commented, \u201cRight now, Kate, I don\u2019t see that changing tomorrow or next week, but certainly if you want to talk about what optimal protection is, I don\u2019t think that anyone would argue that optimal protection is going to be with a third shot.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhether or not it officially gets changed in the definition, I think that\u2019s going to be considered literally on a daily basis.
