But, the Boston Herald <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonherald.com\/2021\/12\/07\/biden-re-election-poll-shows-dismal-22-support-harris-sinks-to-12\/\">pointed out<\/a>, there is some good news for the administration, since \u201cno favorite has emerged among the large field of potential challengers to run against Biden in the 2024 primaries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The latest poll comes on the heels of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/wsj-poll-biden-leadership-economy-midterms-11638888384?mod=hp_lead_pos2\">one<\/a> from The Wall Street Journal earlier this week that placed Biden\u2019s approval rating at 41%.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s undeniable. Joe Biden is hurting in the polls right now and it\u2019s due to a number of factors,\u201d Erin O\u2019Brien, associate professor of political science at UMass Boston, told the Herald.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Brien noted that the factors leading to Biden\u2019s bad poll numbers include the ongoing pandemic, inflation, and his terrible foreign policy.<\/p>\n<p>As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/white-house-working-with-reporters-to-reshape-coverage-of-economic-woes-under-biden-as-approval-sinks-report\">reported<\/a>, the White House is responding to the poor poll numbers by meeting with friendly media outlets and trying \u201cto reshape coverage\u201d of the economic issues under Biden. CNN reported the efforts in its media newsletter:<\/p>\n<p><em>The White House, not happy with the news media\u2019s coverage of the supply chain and economy, has been working behind the scenes trying to reshape coverage in its favor. Senior White House and admin officials \u2014 including NEC Deputy Directors David Kamin and Bharat Ramamurti, along with Ports Envoy John Porcari \u2014 have been briefing major newsrooms over the past week, a source tells me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The officials have been discussing with newsrooms trends pertaining to job creation, economic growth, supply chains, and more. The basic argument that has been made: That the country\u2019s economy is in much better shape than it was last year. I\u2019m told the conversations have been productive, with anchors and reporters and producers getting to talk with the officials\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Late last month, The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bidens-approval-rating-lower-than-lowest-rated-governor-dips-to-below-30-in-17-states\">reported<\/a> that Biden\u2019s approval rating was lower than even the lowest-rated governor, dropping to 30% in 17 states. At the time, Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, a Democrat, had the lowest approval rating of any governor in the country, at just 43%.
