That was today,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot have you putting other people in danger and blatantly breaching court orders. It would be sending a message that court orders mean nothing,\u201d the judge told the court regarding his decision to refuse Buttimer bail. \u201cI am very sad to do this but I have no option.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.5609756097561\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Watch: Get Vaccinated if You Want to Participate in Society, Senator Tells Ireland <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ymp9HfPuLQ\">https:\/\/t.co\/Ymp9HfPuLQ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1463882416062275587?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 25, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ireland implemented mask mandates in shops and public transport <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ie\/en\/publication\/aac74c-guidance-on-safe-use-of-face-coverings\/\">last year<\/a>, and has yet to relax them, even temporarily.<\/p>\n<p>A system of vaccine passports is also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2021\/11\/25\/watch-get-vax-if-you-want-to-participate-in-society-senator-tells-ireland\/\">in place<\/a>, with only those who are vaccinated against the Chinese coronavirus or have recovered from the disease allowed indoor access to pubs, restaurants, and gyms.<\/p>\n<p>A pass is also required in order to visit a relative in a care home.<\/p>\n<p>A number of Irish Senators have suggested that restrictions against the unvaccinated should be extended, with one going as far as to suggest extending the measures to the likes of supermarkets and public transport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you want to participate in society, you need to be vaccinated,\u201d Senator Gerry Horkan of the pro-EU Fianna F\u00e1il party <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2021\/11\/25\/watch-get-vax-if-you-want-to-participate-in-society-senator-tells-ireland\/\">told<\/a> the Irish Seanad (Senate), going on to say that those who don\u2019t want to participate could just stay home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 66-year-old Irish grandmother has once again been jailed after being found in a shop without a mask.
