In comparison, only 35 percent said Democrats are, and nine percent said they view the parties as equal on this issue. Eight percent said neither party could handle rebuilding the economy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The poll also found that 44 percent of the respondents believe Republicans would be better at getting inflation under control. In comparison, only 26 percent believe the Democrats would get&nbsp;inflation under control, and eight percent said they view the parties as equal on this issue. Seventeen percent said neither party could handle getting inflation under control.<\/p>\n<p>This comes at a time when the Democrats passed the&nbsp;$1.2 trillion infrastructure bill \u2014 which was signed into law by President Joe Biden \u2014 and the House Democrats passed the&nbsp;$1.75 trillion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/19\/house-passes-behemoth-build-back-better-act\/\">Build Back Better Act<\/a>, also known as the Democrats\u2019 reconciliation infrastructure bill, which was passed on a near party-line vote with one Democrat defector.<\/p>\n<p>The bill was considered the \u201cmarquee legislation\u201d&nbsp;for Biden\u2019s legislative agenda, in addition to adding three-quarters of a trillion dollars to the&nbsp;American&nbsp;deficit over five years.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Regarding securing the border, 52 percent of the&nbsp;respondents said that Republicans could better handle the issue. In comparison,&nbsp;only 16 percent said Democrats are, and nine percent said they view the parties as equal on this issue. There were also 19 percent who said neither party was fit to secure the border.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Biden\u2019s&nbsp;\u201cmarquee legislation\u201d&nbsp;would&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/biden-bill-would-give-amnesty-to-6-5-million-illegal-immigrants-cbo-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">grant&nbsp;amnesty<\/a>&nbsp;to over six million illegal immigrants, according to the&nbsp;Congressional Budget Office (CBO).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApproximately 6.5 million noncitizens who live in the U.S. largely as a result of illegally crossing the southern <a class=\"autolink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/border?utm_campaign=autolink&amp;utm_source=internal&amp;utm_medium=autolink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">border<\/a> before January 2011 would be granted parole and immediately go from being unlawfully present to lawfully present,\u201d the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/biden-bill-would-give-amnesty-to-6-5-million-illegal-immigrants-cbo-says\">said<\/a> of the CBO report.<\/p>\n<p>Also, 63 percent of the respondents said that the country is headed down the wrong track, while only 27 percent believe the county is on the right track. Ten percent either did not know or refused to answer.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>WSJ<\/em> poll was conducted by ALG Research and Fabrizio, Lee &amp; Associates. The two firms surveyed 1,500 registered voters from November&nbsp;16 to 22.
