Their approval is lower than Republicans\u2019, where 49 percent approve and 51 percent disapprove. Coinciding with that is the fact that 59 percent believe the economy is heading in the wrong direction, up from the 57 percent who said the same in October.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<div id=\"dfp-ad-incontent_desk_1-wrapper\" class=\"dfp-tag-wrapper wrapper\">&nbsp;According to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/584581-new-poll-shows-challenges-for-democrats-ahead-of-2022\">the <em>Hill<\/em><\/a>:<\/div>\n<div class=\"dfp-tag-wrapper wrapper\" readability=\"27.862745098039\">\n<blockquote readability=\"16.731107205624\">\n<p>The poll, which was conducted from Nov. 30-Dec. 2, suggests that Democrats are still up against difficult headwinds in the 2022 midterm elections, even as they celebrate the passage of a $1 trillion infrastructure package and rev up work on a roughly $2 trillion spending proposal that lies at the center of Biden\u2019s legislative agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe president\u2019s ratings have stabilized under water but the Republicans are gaining ground against the Democrats and that spells problems in the midterms,\u201d said<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"rollover-people\"><a class=\"rollover-people-link\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/people\/mark-penn\">Mark Penn<\/a>, the co-director of the Harvard CAPS\/Harris poll. &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>President Biden\u2019s job approval is underwater as well:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"8.5119047619048\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Biden Job Approval:<br \/>Approve 45%<br \/>Disapprove 51%<\/p>\n<p>.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Harvard?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Harvard<\/a>\u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HarrisPoll?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HarrisPoll<\/a>, 1,989 RV, 11\/30-12\/2<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TmeKroTf7b\">https:\/\/t.co\/TmeKroTf7b<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Political Polls (@Politics_Polls) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Politics_Polls\/status\/1468345240763482114?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 7, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span class=\"rollover-people\">The survey comes on the heels of House Democrats passing the&nbsp;<\/span>$1.7 trillion Build Back Better Act last month, which&nbsp;51 percent of voters oppose, a recent Rasmussen Reports survey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/29\/majority-oppose-bidens-radical-build-back-better-plan\/\">found<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"13\">\n<p>Overall, 51 percent indicated opposition to the nearly $2 trillion agenda. Of those, 40 percent said they \u201cstrongly\u201d oppose it. Forty-three percent, however, indicated support, but of those, 27 percent \u201cstrongly\u201d support it.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\" readability=\"17.742331288344\">\n<blockquote readability=\"11\">\n<p>While most Democrats, 69 percent, support the radical agenda, Republicans and independents do not feel the same way, opposing it 76 percent and 54 percent, respectively.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\" readability=\"27.023514851485\">\n<blockquote readability=\"12\">\n<p>When asked if the bill would be \u201cgood\u201d or \u201cbad\u201d for the U.S. economy, a plurality, 48 percent, said it will be \u201cbad\u201d for the economy, followed by 35 percent who said \u201cgood,\u201d and seven percent who remain unsure.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, House Democrats are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/12\/06\/democrats-bidens-build-back-better-must-include-american-citizenship-for-illegal-aliens\/\">urging<\/a> Senate Democrat \u201cdefy the Senate Parliamentarian by slipping a massive amnesty for millions of illegal aliens into President Joe Biden\u2019s \u2018Build Back Better Act,&#8217;\u201d as Breitbart News detailed.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the Harvard&nbsp;CAPS\/Harris poll, taken November 30 \u2013 December 2, 2021, among 1,989 registered voters, shows that 53 percent are worried the massive legislation will \u201cworsen inflation\u201d in the country.
