Roy Blunt (Mo.) cautions the harmful impact Joe Biden\u2019s vaccine mandate could have on U.S. employers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the Biden administration probably is, and definitely should be, rethinking this,\u201d said Blunt.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Blunt spoke out on the national vaccine mandate and its affects on employers. The Republican made his opinion known during the Republican Leadership Conference on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Although he supports vaccines, Blunt said he believes the mandate would cripple several industries throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat they\u2019re going to find out is that people who work at grocery stores that have more than 100 employees, will lose a lot of those employees. There are grocery stores that have less than 100 employees or there are other places that you can work and make as much as you make at the grocery store,\u201d explained Blunt. \u201cSo, grocery store owners are saying we can barely keep the stocks shelved and the back room running right now, what happens if those people leave?\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Biden administration\u2019s vaccine mandate will have a harmful impact on U.S. employers, adding to the labor force and supply chain challenges that are already roiling the economy. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/xRwyYZ5NNF\">pic.twitter.com\/xRwyYZ5NNF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Roy Blunt (@RoyBlunt) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RoyBlunt\/status\/1468347681517207552?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 7, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Additionally, he stressed if the courts allow the current vaccine mandates to stay in effect, it\u2019ll devastate health care facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlmost every rural hospital in Missouri that I\u2019ve talked to, points out that they may not even be able to get 100 percent of their professionals vaccinated. They certainly don\u2019t think they can get 100 percent of the people that keep the hospital open, the floors mopped, the cafeteria running and the system running,\u201d said the Republican.<\/p>\n<p>He invoked the late author, C.S.
