Gretchen Whitmer said President Joe Biden\u2019s COVID-19 vaccine mandate would be a \u201cproblem\u201d for the people of her state during a meeting Monday, the Daily News reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re an employer too, the state of Michigan is. I know if that mandate happens, we\u2019re going to lose state employees,\u201d Whitmer allegedly said while meeting with Howard City leaders, the Daily News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailynews.cc\/articles\/what-is-on-your-radar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s why I haven\u2019t proposed a mandate at the state level. Some states have. We have not, we\u2019re waiting to see what happens in court,\u201d Whitmer said, the Daily News reported.<\/p>\n<p>Whitmer was reportedly responding to concerns voiced by Ace Home Healthcare co-owner Bruce Williams, who said he knew a percentage of government workers will quit rather than get the vaccine. Joe Manchin&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/03\/joe-manchin-biden-vaccine-mandate-mike-braun-west-virginia-indiana\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">came out against<\/a> a government <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/06\/de-blasio-announces-that-nyc-will-mandate-vaccines-for-private-sector-workers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mandate for vaccines<\/a> on private business on Thursday, saying he would vote against the measure when it comes before the Senate. \u201cI have long said we should incentivize, not penalize, private employers whose responsibility it is to protect their employees from COVID-19,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow Democratic Sen.
