And, of course, that is the one question no one in Washington is asking,\u201d Carlson told his viewers in his opening monologue.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, The Daily Wire reported on the growing concern amongst some military experts:<\/p>\n<p><em>Russia is reportedly preparing to launch a massive invasion into Ukraine in the immediate future with up to 175,000 troops, armor, and artillery as experts warn that Russia is seeking to take advantage of \u201cweakness\u201d from Democrat President Joe Biden.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>[ \u2026 ]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The build-up by Russia comes as it demands that the U.S. guarantees that Ukraine will not join NATO and that NATO will not interfere in military activities around Ukraine.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire also reported that President Joe Biden had a virtual meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, but that his \u201cnational security adviser, Jake Sullivan, refused to answer on Tuesday whether the world was a more or less safe place after the president met with Russian President Vladimir Putin amid concern that Russia is preparing to invade Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden was direct and straightforward with President Putin, as he always is,\u201d Sullivan claimed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe told President Putin directly that if Russia further invades Ukraine, the United States and our European allies would respond with strong economic measures. We would provide additional defensive material to the Ukrainians above and beyond that which we are already providing,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd we would fortify our NATO Allies on the eastern flank with additional capabilities in response to such an escalation\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But prior to that meeting, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) told media that Biden needed \u201cto say to Vladimir Putin that we are no longer going to allow you to continue with the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. We need you to know and understand that we will defend Ukraine, we will provide them assistance. He needs to make that very clear.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Carlson put it, Ernst is \u201ca totally affable, nice Republican, sort of reasonable on most things from the Midwest, suddenly sounding like a blood-thirsty warmonger; sounding a lot like actually Adam Schiff when she talks about that dastardly Vladimir Putin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo what happens if we don\u2019t defend Ukraine, Joni Ernst? Will kids in Des Moines grow up to speak Russian? No one asked her that question,\u201d he continued later on. \u201cShe\u2019s never thought about it for a moment. But all this reading from the same talking points \u2014 Adam Schiff to Roger Wicker to Joni Ernst. It turns out that foreign lobbying campaigns work pretty well. And that\u2019s why the Ukrainians paid for one in Washington.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The top-rated cable news host also pointed out that Americans never had to worry about new wars under President Donald Trump, something that has been increasingly rare for Americans in recent memory:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSo say what you will about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a>&nbsp;and his Twitter account, maybe you liked him, maybe you were appalled by his personal style.
