Stay tuned.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NRA (@NRA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NRA\/status\/1468413934201942019?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On September 25, 2021, Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/09\/25\/defense-bill-including-red-flag-provision-passes-in-house-with-gop-support\/\">noted<\/a>&nbsp;the initial 2022 NDAA legislation passed House with red flag law language applicable to service men and women. The 2022 NDAA contained&nbsp;a provision authorizing military courts to&nbsp;issue orders restraining military personnel from \u201cpossessing, receiving, or otherwise accessing a firearm.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/content\/pkg\/BILLS-117hr4350rh\/pdf\/BILLS-117hr4350rh.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">provision<\/a>&nbsp;for prohibiting gun possession is contained in Section 529 of the 2022 NDAA. That section was titled, \u201cAuthority Of Military Judges And Military Magistrates To Issue Military Court Protective Orders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The specific provision would have given military courts the authority to prohibit gun possession via protective orders in two ways: 1. By giving the subject of the order an \u201copportunity to be heard on the order.\u201d 2.
