One Hollywood A-lister, however, recently let slip that he not only accepted these differences, but that he observed them playing out naturally. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cKing Richard\u201d star Will Smith made the comments during an interview promoting his new project, which tells the story of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams\u2019 father Richard Williams.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cMen in Black\u201d alum sat down with <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/movies\/king-richard-will-smith-interview-demi-singleton-saniyya-sidney\/\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a> to discuss his time on set and how he related to his co-stars. When asked who he enjoyed spending time with the most, Smith had a surprising answer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know what the most fun for me was? Those times in the bus with five daughters,\u201d the actor said. \u201cGirls are really different than boys. One of the things I noticed with girls is everything was complimentary and added to things going on. It was pleasant. Whereas with boys, somebody hits somebody in the head with something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That simple yet honest revelation doesn\u2019t sound like more than common sense. But for others in Hollywood, especially other actors, it could be construed as a blasphemous statement.<\/p>\n<p>Still, the source of the statement is highly interesting. Smith, along with his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, have come under scrutiny for their highly unique parenting methods, which include lax rules and allowing their two children, Jaden and Willow, to set their own boundaries.<\/p>\n<p>And both their kids have been especially experimental with gender roles. Jaden made headlines promoting women\u2019s fashion for Louis Vuitton, and while Smith initially questioned the move, he was ultimately supportive. But that\u2019s not the only time the \u201cFresh Prince of Bel-Air\u201d alum revealed his more traditional views on men and women.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Jaden got asked to do the women\u2019s campaign for Louis Vuitton, this kind of gender fluid fashion, Will called me,\u201d Pinkett Smith said on a 2018 episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fredtabletalk%2Fvideos%2F583442132055266%2F&amp;show_text=0&amp;width=560\">Red Table Talk<\/a>. \u201c\u2018My son is not supposed to be in a Louis Vuitton ad wearing skirts\u2026Is this a good idea?\u2019 [She replied] \u2018Well you know what, Will? This is what he wants. This is his expression.\u2019 And he said okay, okay. But it was tight, it was tight. He was afraid, it was uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And the same went for his daughter Willow. During that same discussion, she recalled her dad\u2019s reaction to getting a haircut. The performer recalled how when she was 9 years old, her dad reacted strongly to her plans.<\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u200b\u201cHe told me he didn\u2019t want me to cut my hair. He was like, \u2018Don\u2019t do it. All your femininity!\u2019 As if my femininity was in my hair,\u201d Willow explained.
