I\u2019m older,\u201d the prosecutor said. \u201cI tell you right now I do not understand Instagram. \u2026 I\u2019m asking you if the messages I\u2019m about to show you are between Bola and you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust answer his questions without arguing,\u201d Judge Linn interjected, chiding Smollett.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no fake attack,\u201d the angered actor insisted. \u201cThere was an update to my over 5 million followers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s difficult to answer yes and no when little bits are thrown in there that aren\u2019t true \u2026 when some things are true, and some aren\u2019t, it\u2019s hard to say yes or no,\u201d Smollett later slammed prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>The 39-year-old is facing up to three years in jail for allegedly lying to police. Back in January 2019, Smollett claimed he was targeted and attacked by apparent supporters of President Donald Trump in an anti-gay, anti-black hate crime. His alleged attackers, whom he initially described as white males who yelled \u201cThis is MAGA country,\u201d were brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo. They are both black men who knew Smollett before the attack and claim the actor orchestrated the \u201choax.\u201d The actor contends he is a real vicim.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/jussie-smollett-tells-prosecutor-to-stop-saying-n-word-while-quoting-his-text-messages\">The Daily Wire<\/a>, Smollett has conceded that he knows both brothers, one of whom he claims he did hard drugs with and shared a private room in a bathhouse with:<\/p>\n<p><em>According to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattFinnFNC\/status\/1467934150065860608\">Smollett\u2019s testimony<\/a>, he was training with Bola Osundairo primarily because \u201cEmpire\u201d creator Lee Daniels had told him that he was fat and because he wanted to lose weight for a music video.
