Musk told attendees that the Senate should not pass the massive spending plan and that the bill would add an \u201cinsane\u201d amount to the country\u2019s deficit.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Independent, Musk maintained he was not really paying attention to negotiations in D.C., but told CEOs from around the world that he opposed the BBB plan:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI would say can this bill, don\u2019t pass it. That\u2019s my recommendation,\u201d he told an audience at&nbsp;The Wall Street Journal\u2019s annual CEO Council on Monday, saying that the Tesla team wasn\u2019t even really paying attention to the negotiations in Washington.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIf this bill happens or doesn\u2019t happen, we don\u2019t think about it at all really,\u201d he said. \u201cHonestly it might be better if the bill doesn\u2019t pass.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The colourful CEO said he took issue with how the $2 trillion spending package would add to the \u201cinsane\u201d federal budget deficit, and would have the government incentivising certain business, including with up to $12,500 in incentives for electric car buyers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/hes-still-sleeping-elon-musk-slams-biden-after-he-ignores-spacexs-historic-civilian-flight\">reported<\/a> that in recent months, Musk has increased his public attacks on President Joe Biden:<\/p>\n<p><em>SpaceX CEO Elon Musk slammed President Biden after he ignored the company\u2019s first successful civilian voyage.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Last month, SpaceX \u2014 which is known for disrupting the space industry by creating reusable rocket boosters \u2014&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/09\/18\/tech\/spacex-inspiration4-splashdown-scn\/index.html\">sent<\/a>&nbsp;four civilian astronauts on a three-day trip to space. One of Musk\u2019s followers on Twitter asked: \u201cThe President of the United States has refused to even acknowledge the 4 newest American astronauts who helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for St. Jude. Morgan have all written in recent weeks that they believe it\u2019s a matter of time until the Senate passes Biden\u2019s Build Back Better legislation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>That could mean a business boom for some of the country\u2019s biggest construction and materials companies, they say.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNothing in DC is 100% sure, but I think the odds are very high, I\u2019d say 80-90% that we get some sort of BBB,\u201d Mike Feroli, chief U.S. economist at J.P.
