The Toyota Battery Manufacturing, North Carolina (TBMNC) plant will have four production lines making enough lithium-ion <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/02\/amazon-electric-car-company-60-billion-ipo-rivian-automotive\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">batteries<\/a> for 200,000 vehicles, <a href=\"https:\/\/pressroom.toyota.com\/toyota-selects-north-carolina-greensboro-randolph-site-for-new-u-s-automotive-battery-plant\/\">according<\/a> to a company press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe future of mobility is electrification, and the Greensboro-Randolph Megasite is the ideal location to make that future a reality,\u201d Ted Ogawa, chief executive of Toyota Motor North America, said in the press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNorth Carolina offers the right conditions for this investment, including the infrastructure, high-quality education system, access to a diverse and skilled workforce, and a welcoming environment for doing Business,\u201d Ogawa said.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"12.487534626039\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Today, Gov. Roy Cooper said in the press release.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis investment in our state is a testament to our world class workforce and growing economy. North Carolina is working hard every day toward a clean energy future and projects like this will help us get there,\u201d Cooper said.<\/p>\n<p>Toyota <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/18\/toyota-jeep-produce-electric-car-batteries-us-stellantis-lg-energy-solution\/\">announced<\/a> on Oct. 18 its intentions to invest roughly $3.4 billion in electric car battery factories across the U.S. by 2030.
