They had options. Their duty was to protect those kids. Seven others, including a teacher, were injured. Ethan Crumbley, a 15-year-old student of the school, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clickondetroit.com\/news\/local\/2021\/12\/01\/15-year-old-ethan-crumbley-charged-as-adult-in-oxford-high-school-shooting\/\">charged<\/a> with four counts of first-degree murder and terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Karen McDonald, a Democrat and the prosecuting attorney in Oakland County, MI, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/crime\/2021\/12\/03\/prosecutor-charges-parents-in-michigan-school-shooting-says-they-should-have-searched-sons-bag-shooter\/\">announced<\/a> on Friday that the parents of the shooter were being charged with involuntary manslaughter in the deaths of the four students.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Pollack\u2019s 18-year-old daughter, Meadow, was murdered in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, in 2018 by a 19-year-old former student of the school. Pollack drew parallels between the mass shootings in Parkland and in Oakland County.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[School administrators] have got a lot of questions to answer for,\u201d he remarked, \u201cand I\u2019m telling you, there are going to be other red flags. This isn\u2019t going to be the only one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <em>New York Times<\/em>&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/12\/01\/us\/ethan-crumbley-michigan-high-school-shooting.html\">reported<\/a> on law enforcement\u2019s claims to be in possession of evidence that Crumbley planned the shooting:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"10\">\n<p>During a video arraignment, law enforcement authorities told a judge that investigators had recovered two cellphone videos Mr. Crumbley had made the night before the shooting in which he talked about killing Oxford students the next day. They also found a journal in his backpack detailing his desire to \u201cshoot up\u201d the school, authorities said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThat wasn\u2019t his first breakdown,\u201d Pollack said. \u201cWe\u2019re going to find out \u2013 just like with my daughter\u2019s murderer \u2013 there was a whole record of his mental health from when he was a young kid in elementary school. It\u2019ll come out, I bet you, with this shooter, too, that he had issues, also. All the kids are going to be saying they knew this kid was a problem kid. It\u2019s always the case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pollack noted \u201cthere were so many similarities between the shooter in Michigan\u201d and his daughter\u2019s murderer. He noted that<span>&nbsp;Oxford High School refused to involve law enforcement despite \u201cred flags\u201d presented by Crumbley before the mass murder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>He linked left-wing politics \u2014 particularly leftist hostility to police and to disciplining of students \u2014 with incompetent school administration. He remarked, \u201cWith these sick kids, they have to involve law enforcement, and a lot of these liberal school boards and districts, they are removing the police from the school districts \u2014 [they claim] the police are racist \u2014 and it doesn\u2019t help. \u2026 T<span>here\u2019s no reason to protect these individuals that are evil. \u2026&nbsp;&nbsp;This evil kid is in public schools throughout the whole country.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201c<span>Why don\u2019t these shootings happen in private schools?\u201d Pollack asked. \u201c<\/span><span>I would do anything \u2014 I would sell everything on the planet [to] have put my daughter in a private school. Private schools aren\u2019t forced to take these kids that are mentally ill. I\u2019m just throwing that out there, because parents are always writing me [asking], \u2018W<\/span><span>hat could I do?
