That is down more than 40% from October\u2019s peak, erasing a run-up that stoked fears of exorbitant heating bills biting into household budgets and manufacturers\u2019 balance sheets already stressed by broad inflation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prices\u2019 climb has reversed thanks to an uptick in domestic production and the unseasonably warm weather that has delayed heating season in much of the country. Monday\u2019s sharp decline came after forecasts showed another burst of warm weather settling over much of the country next week, eliminating a lot of demand for the power-generation and heating fuel. Meager autumn consumption has allowed stockpiles that were drained by summer\u2019s record heat to recover before furnaces and boilers start blasting.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, it appears that mother nature is bailing out the Biden administration following its meager attempts to cut energy costs. For example, Biden released 50 million barrels of oil from the United States Strategic Petroleum Reserve last month \u2014 a move that had a negligible effect on gas prices.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Information Administration, the United States consumed roughly 18.19 million barrels of petroleum per day in 2020 \u2014 meaning that another 50 million barrels only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/bidens-tapping-of-petroleum-reserves-will-provide-just-over-2-5-days-worth-of-oil\">amounted<\/a> to less than three days\u2019 worth of consumption. As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/oil-prices-rise-with-few-us-government-brakes-available-2021-11-09\/\">Reuters<\/a> explained, \u201cAnalysts have warned an SPR release would only produce a short-term effect in the market, as it would not increase U.S. production capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After the Biden administration authorized the release of reserve oil, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/file-under-not-qualified-to-be-energy-secretary-biden-official-stumped-on-basic-question-crenshaw-slams\">failed<\/a> to demonstrate knowledge of the American economy\u2019s daily oil consumption.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow many barrels of oil does the U.S. consume per day?\u201d asked a reporter during a press briefing. She responded: \u201cI don\u2019t have that number in front of me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fellow Democrats \u2014 including Sen.
