In Summit County, 140 children were taken to a local Walmart to spend $150 on gifts for themselves or others, according to Fox 8. Members of the community raised the money over the past year.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Deputy Michael Hawsman of the Summit County Sheriff\u2019s Office was on hand for the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWatching the kids eyes get twice as big as they pull in and go shopping that\u2019s what we\u2019re here for,\u201d Hawsman told Fox 8.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In Medina County, 150 children went shopping with officers, and they received a special surprise when Santa Claus arrived via helicopter, the outlet reports.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/medinacountysheriffoffice\/posts\/271116378320483\" data-width=\"640\" readability=\"23.413978494624\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/102637638501692\/posts\/271116378320483\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\" readability=\"6.989247311828\">\n<p>Another magical day in the books!! The department lists that the event will continue on Sunday. Wyoming News Now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wyomingnewsnow.tv\/2021\/12\/05\/law-enforcement-agencies-participate-shop-with-cop\/\">reports<\/a> that<\/span><span>&nbsp;270 children were given $60 gift cards to splurge in Wyoming\u2019s Natrona County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cA lot of the officers who come out and do this, this is our favorite time of year,\u201d said Casper Police Officer&nbsp;<\/span><span>Jeff Bullard, per the outlet.
