Devin Nunes (Calif.) warns of Big Tech companies gaining even more control and power to censor in the future. During a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/radio\/2021\/12\/03\/rep-devin-nunes-big-tech-could-shut-off-all-republicans-credit-cards-banking\/\">Breitbart interview<\/a>, the California representative assessed he\u2019s still concerned with \u201cwoke corporations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happens if these companies just decide next year, \u2018well, Republicans, they\u2019re all insurrectionists. Let\u2019s shut off all their credit cards and banking so they just can\u2019t raise any money,&#8217;\u201d asked Nunes.<\/p>\n<p>Nunes suggested the most important threat is what Big Tech\u2019s control of the internet is doing to the country and it\u2019s possibility of becoming even more tyrannical in the future. He highlighted how users\u2019 freedom of speech is being censored on the internet without them even realizing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBetween Facebook and Twitter, and what Google\u2019s doing and Wikipedia and everything else, we\u2019re just getting overwhelmed by the censorship. And so, the most important issue at the highest level for the future of a Democratic Republic is going to be the reopening, so to speak, of the internet, with the free flow of information\u2026whether that\u2019s social media or video platforms or news,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Republican\u2019s remarks come after lawmakers in Congress feuded over Big Tech this week as Republicans continue to push platforms should be held liable for censoring or amplifying posts of their choosing.
