Tom Wolf (D) vetoed legislation Thursday that would have removed the state\u2019s requirement that law-abiding Pennsylvanians get a permit before carrying a gun for self-defense.<\/p>\n<p>On November 17, 2021, Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/17\/bill-to-make-pennsylvania-22nd-constitutional-carry-state-heads-to-gov-tom-wolf\/\">reported<\/a> that legislation to make Pennsylvania the 22nd constitutional carry state was headed to Wolf\u2019s desk.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Wolf\u2019s opposition to the legislation was well known, and&nbsp;NBC Philadelphia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcphiladelphia.com\/news\/politics\/tom-wolf-concealed-firearm-veto-pennsylvania\/3066004\/\">noted<\/a> that he vetoed constitutional carry on Thursday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>He called the bill \u201cdangerous,\u201d adding, \u201cThis\u202flegislation, which eliminates the requirement for individuals to obtain a license before carrying a concealed firearm,\u202fwill only exacerbate gun violence and jeopardize the safety of all Pennsylvanians.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PennLive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pennlive.com\/news\/2021\/12\/gov-wolf-vetoes-constitutional-carry-gun-bill-for-pennsylvania.html\">pointed out<\/a> that constitutional carry sponsor&nbsp;Sen.
