Julia Letlow (R-La.) is standing up for parents\u2019 rights when it comes to their children\u2019s education. While speaking on the House floor Thursday, she called for action to be taken in regard to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.republicanleader.gov\/parents-bill-of-rights\/\">Parents\u2019 Bill of Rights<\/a> brought forward by her and her colleagues.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2601650 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Parents-Bill-of-Rights-Graphic.png\" alt=\"(Graphic)\" width=\"480\" height=\"622\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This legislation contains five points that aim to create mutually beneficial partnerships between schools and parents. Letlow said the government can not take total control of the education system. She urged her fellow lawmakers to see the importance of educators and administrators working with parents to ensure student success.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cThe idea that government can exclude parents and have total control of the classroom will never work because it ignores the simple truth that these are our children not the governments,\u201d stated the Louisiana lawmaker. \u201cThe Parents\u2019 Bill of Rights puts safeguards in place that ensure that the foundation of education is built on a meaningful dialogue between families and their child\u2019s school.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The idea that government can exclude parents and have total control of education will never work, because it ignores the simple truth that these are our children, not the government\u2019s.
