Paul LePage is seeking a rematch against Gov. Janet Mills, who succeeded him. Republicans have also targeted Democratic New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and term-limited Democratic Oregon Gov. Kate Brown \u2014 who one poll recently pegged as the <a href=\"https:\/\/morningconsult.com\/2021\/11\/18\/phil-scott-approval-vermont-polling-senate-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">most unpopular governor in the country<\/a>&nbsp;\u2014 but Democrats remain favorites in the states which Biden handily won last November.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/09\/03\/nicholas-kristof-run-for-governor-oregon-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Former NYT Columnist Running For Governor In Oregon)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No high-profile Democratic challenger has sought to oust Republican Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, Cook noted, while an unfavorable political environment for Democrats was the reason behind Cook\u2019s decision to shift its South Carolina rating, despite former Democratic Rep. Joe Cunningham\u2019s candidacy.<\/p>\n<p>The shifts are not the only ones Cook made this week. On Wednesday, it shifted the Massachusetts governor\u2019s race from \u201cSolid Republican\u201d to \u201cLean Democrat\u201d after incumbent Republican Gov. Charlie Baker <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/01\/massachusetts-charlie-baker-karyn-polito-republican-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">opted to retire<\/a> instead of running for a third term, while it shifted Georgia\u2019s race from \u201cLean Republican\u201d to \u201cToss Up\u201d after Stacey Abrams said she would <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/12\/01\/stacey-abrams-brian-kemp-donald-trump-georgia-governor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">challenge incumbent Gov.
