Others are quitting.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cSome drivers have been decreasing the amount of hours that they do. Some drivers have gone looking for other jobs,\u201d said Beth Griffith, a former Uber and Lyft driver who heads the Boston Independent Drivers Guild.<\/p>\n<p>An online poll conducted this week by The Rideshare Guy found some 91 percent of rideshare drivers worry about petrol prices, and about half of drivers were driving less. Twelve percent affirmed they stopped driving entirely as a result of high prices.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"7.56\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Travelers hitting the road for Thanksgiving this week will notice two things on their journey: they\u2019ll have more company and gas prices in many states remain on the rise. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UsPJmW0RKE\">https:\/\/t.co\/UsPJmW0RKE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1463166912532205574?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 23, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The future for prices at the pump might be remaining steady at the moment, however others have argued&nbsp;the high price of gasoline is part of Democrats\u2019 plan to make driving unaffordable for most Americans.<\/p>\n<p><em>Washington Times<\/em>&nbsp;opinion editor and Breitbart News columnist Charles Hurt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/radio\/2021\/04\/19\/charlie-hurt-higher-gas-prices-part-lefts-plan-make-driving-unaffordable\/\">said<\/a> back in April the Biden administration\u2019s push to get Americans from burning fossil fuel in their cars and into electric vehicles is real. He argued:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"15\">\n<p>They make no secret about the fact that they \u2026 want [gas] at six dollars a gallon.<\/p>\n<p>They want it at eight dollars a gallon. This is not a secret to them. The Green New Deal, the whole thing \u2014 all these people \u2014 their intent is to raise the price of gas so that it is so expensive that nobody can drive anywhere. They\u2019re not kidding around about this.<\/p>\n<p>This is not a joke to them, and they\u2019re not embarrassed by it. [\u2026] They want gas to be at $20 a gallon. They want it to be like Europe because they want no one to be able to afford to drive anywhere.
