Some Senate Republicans have indicated they will push for a shutdown in an effort to fight Joe Biden\u2019s OSHA vaccine mandate. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) told reporters he\u2019s hoping the bill will pass through the upper chamber by Thursday night.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">U.S. House PASSES CR funding government through February 18, 2022, 221-212.<\/p>\n<p>Goes now to the U.S. Senate.<\/p>\n<p>Current spending authority expires Friday at Midnight ET. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HGANxhoOCF\">pic.twitter.com\/HGANxhoOCF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CSPAN (@cspan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cspan\/status\/1466536971795369985?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 2, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the meantime, Biden said he doesn\u2019t believe a government shutdown will happen this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Biden suggested there wouldn\u2019t be a federal shutdown unless somebody decides to do something erratic.
