Andrew Cuomo (D) is under federal investigation over allegations of sexual harassment, the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/12\/02\/andrew-cuomo-under-federal-probe-over-sexual-harassment-claims\/\"><em>New York Post<\/em><\/a> reported Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The newspaper said:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote readability=\"14.4\">\n<p>The stunning development is contained in a legal services contract signed in October and released by the state Comptroller\u2019s Office on Thursday in response to a Freedom of Information Law request filed by The Post.<\/p>\n<p>The contract notes&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/05\/18\/fbi-interviews-ny-pol-on-cuomo-nursing-home-scandal-book-deal\/\">previously revealed Department of Justice investigations<\/a>&nbsp;into the Cuomo administration\u2019s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, its cover-up of nursing home deaths and Cuomo\u2019s $5.1 coronavirus memoir.<\/p>\n<p>But it adds, \u201cDOJ has also undertaken an inquiry related to sexual harassment claims made against the then Governor.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Cuomo spokesperson Rich Azzopardi said of the <em>Post\u2019s<\/em> report: \u201cOur understanding is that the Civil Division opened an inquiry in August based upon the AG\u2019s politically motivated sham report and we have heard nothing since.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Cuomo resigned from the governorship in August after 11 women accused the Democrat of sexual harassment and unwanted touching. Nine of the women were current or former state staff members.&nbsp;New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) recently released the finding of an investigation on the allegations in which Cuomo and his staffers were accused of \u201cviolat[ing] multiple state and federal laws, as well as the Executive Chamber\u2019s own written policies.\u201d Cuomo has denied any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n<p>In October, a misdemeanor complaint for a sex-crime related charge was filed against Cuomo&nbsp;in Albany City Court.<\/p>\n<p>The one-page complaint, filed by an investigator with the Albany County Sheriff\u2019s Office, accused Cuomo of putting his hand under a woman\u2019s shirt on Dec. 7, 2020. The document didn\u2019t name the woman but Cuomo had been&nbsp;<a class href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/cuomo-albany-criminal-complaint-9b2ef6fc4fc144c00b3763e4ece09937\">publicly accused of groping an aide<\/a>, Brittany Commisso, at the executive mansion in Albany last year around that date.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Associated&nbsp;Press contributed to this report.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Disgraced former Gov.
