Version: 4.0.47--><p>The trial against former \u201cEmpire\u201d actor Jussie Smollett \u2013 who allegedly staged a racist and homophobic hate crime against himself and filed a false police report regarding the incident \u2014 does not appear to be going the actor\u2019s way, as documented in a series tweets from Fox News national reporter Matt Finn.<\/p>\n<p>Abimbola \u201cBola\u201d Osundairo took the stand Wednesday to testify against <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/video-allegedly-captures-jussie-smollett-practicing-dry-run-of-fake-hate-crime\/\">Smollett<\/a>, saying that the actor had driven him and his brother to the place where he wanted the attack to occur and had used the word \u201ctraining\u201d to describe a practice run of what he intended to happen.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u2018Bola\u2019 Osundairo in the courthouse <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Ddsy8nDqMS\">pic.twitter.com\/Ddsy8nDqMS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Matt Finn (@MattFinnFNC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattFinnFNC\/status\/1466124130449821700?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 1, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/12\/01\/us\/jussie-smollett-trial-abimbola-osundairo-testimony\/index.html\">report from CNN<\/a>, Osundairo testified that Smollett asked him to \u201cfake beat him up,\u201d and then suggested that they should enlist his brother Olabinjo to assist him in the \u201cattack\u201d:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe went over the details of what he wanted us to say and do,\u201d Abimbola Osundairo told jurors.<\/em><br \/><em>Smollett allegedly told him to say, \u201cEmpire, f****t, n***er, MAGA\u201d then the conversation moved to the more physical aspect, he said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Osundairo testified, \u201cHe wants me to attack him, but he wanted me to pull the punch so I don\u2019t hurt him, give him a bruise.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The final part of the plan would be to \u201cpour bleach on him and then he would run away,\u201d Osundairo testified.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWho was in charge of this thing?\u201d Special Prosecutor Daniel Webb asked.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cJussie was,\u201d Osundairo told the jury.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Osundairo told Webb that Smollett \u201cwanted to use the fake attack or camera footage for media.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>He said Smollett also told the brothers not to take a rideshare to where they planned to meet so there wouldn\u2019t be a record of their trip.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As Finn noted in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattFinnFNC\/status\/1466168880297095168\">tweet<\/a>, Osundairo claimed that <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/jussie-smollett-criminal-trial-set-to-begin-today-3-years-after-alleged-hate-crime-hoax\/\">Smollett<\/a> wanted to stage the attack primarily because he felt like the \u201cEmpire\u201d studio had failed to address a hate letter he had allegedly received. \u201cSmollett explained he was upset the Empire studio didn\u2019t take more seriously a MAGA hate letter sent to Smollett,\u201d Finn noted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBola Osundairo testifies he and his brother agreed because Bola felt indebted to Smollett for Empire part and thought Smollett could better his career,\u201d Finn <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattFinnFNC\/status\/1466168881697935362\">continued<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattFinnFNC\/status\/1466168883614826506\">adding<\/a>, \u201cOsundairo says they used code word \u2018training\u2019 for a dry run of alleged fake attack.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the prosecution, law enforcement was never able to determine who sent the hate letter to Smollett \u2014 and it has been alleged that he sent it to himself.<\/p>\n<p>A Chicago Police Department detective also testified that Smollett had appeared to be upset when he learned that the surveillance camera nearby the scene of the attack had not been pointing the right direction to provide footage of what had happened.<\/p>\n<p>Osundairo\u2019s testimony appeared to bolster claims that Smollett had intended for the attack to be caught on that camera.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOsundairo testifies Smollett wanted the incident to be caught on camera to be \u2018used for media.\u2019 But, the camera did not point toward incident,\u201d Finn <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MattFinnFNC\/status\/1466174480540213249\">tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
