Chip Roy (R-TX) estimated on Wednesday\u2019s edition of the <em>Breitbart Daily News<\/em> podcast with host Alex Marlow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of people \u2014 even moderate Democrats, independents, people who just aren\u2019t that politically engaged \u2014 are fired up because they don\u2019t want the state coming in and forcing vaccines onto their kids,\u201d Roy stated. \u201cHeck, even a Kennedy, right?&nbsp;I think it\u2019s Robert Kennedy Jr. \u2026 just wrote a book about this and is leading that whole effort and that fight. So there\u2019s some possible crossover here in a world in which we have very little crossover in saying that we don\u2019t want to have the government step in here and force mandates.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Robert F. Kennedy Jr.\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Real-Anthony-Fauci-Democracy-Childrens\/dp\/1510766804\/?tag=breitbart035-20\">book<\/a>,&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span>Roy continued, \u201cI do think there\u2019s some bipartisan recognition here \u2026 whether it\u2019s Robert Kennedy Jr. or o<\/span><span>thers, that having the state step in and mandate vaccines on kids, mandate vaccines on people such that they lose their jobs, that\u2019s touching a nerve.\u201d<br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201c[Republicans]&nbsp;<\/span><span>should stand up and lead, and so on the vaccine mandate, let\u2019s lead,\u201d he added. \u201cI think that galvanizes a majority of people who recognize that the power of the federal government should not be used in this way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Roy said House Republicans should unify in demanding the removal of funding for vaccine mandates in the upcoming vote on a continuing resolution to fund the federal government\u2019s operations.<\/p>\n<p>He said,&nbsp;\u201cThe fight that\u2019s going to probably be ripe this week is the continuing resolution funding government, which expires. It has a hard stop on Friday night, and so that, I think, is going to be a question that\u2019s going to drive consideration of vax mandates and whether Republicans will step up and fight to defund vax mandates and not spend any dollars to fund tyranny, forcing the American people to get jabs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Republican support for a continuing resolution to fund the federal government should be contingent on \u201cdefunding the vaccine mandates,\u201d Roy held.<\/p>\n<p>He remarked, \u201cWe should tie the vaccine mandate \u2014 defunding the vaccine mandates \u2014 to the funding of government. In other words, Republicans should stand in the way of funding government \u2014 even if that means shut down \u2014 if they\u2019re not going to remove these onerous vaccine mandates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He concluded, \u201cThat simple question: Should any Republican vote to fund the government if the vaccine mandates remain in place, mandating that Americans get a jab or lose his or her job, whether they\u2019re in defense or whether they\u2019re in the private sector or in health care? The answer is clearly no.
