Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/fedex-driver-truck-filephoto-getty-images-640x335-1.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\" \/><\/div>\n<p class=\"subheading\">A FedEx driver allegedly dumped hundreds of packages in a wooded area in Alabama, according to the Blount County Sheriff\u2019s Office (BCSO).<\/p>\n<p>Heaps of packages were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.localmemphis.com\/article\/news\/nation-world\/fedex-packages-are-found-in-alabama-woods\/530-e2aab250-ac31-455e-b98b-46a13604dc6e\">discovered<\/a> in a wooded ravine near the small town of Hayden on November 24, according to WATN.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cInvestigators have determined that the driver dumped at least six times making FedEx a victim of six different Theft of Property cases,\u201d Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=203558621950900&amp;id=100068902912493\">wrote<\/a>&nbsp;in a November 30 Facebook post from the sheriff\u2019s office account.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FredWVTM13\/posts\/442989713856807\" data-width=\"640\" readability=\"25.558189655172\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/100044373461737\/posts\/442989713856807\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\" readability=\"7.6293103448276\">\n<p>NEW: The Blount County Sheriff&#8217;s Office is investigating after three to four hundred of FedEx packages were found in a ravine Wednesday afternoon. bit.ly\/3nRh0dO<\/p>\n<p>Posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FredWVTM13\">Fred Davenport WVTM 13 News<\/a> on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/100044373461737\/posts\/442989713856807\/\">Wednesday, November 24, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>\u201cAs of right now we are looking at around 450 individual victims, some in Blount County some not, that investigators are attempting to work their cases,\u201d the sheriff continued.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He added that the case will not close quickly and asked for the public\u2019s patience as \u201cinvestigators work through this case.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>In a November 29 update, Moon wrote that his office had&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=203012955338800&amp;id=100068902912493\">communicated<\/a> with \u201cFedEx security personnel and the driver has been identified and questioned.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-post\" data-href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=199963782310384&amp;id=100068902912493\" data-width=\"640\" readability=\"23.586734693878\">\n<blockquote cite=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/100068902912493\/posts\/199963782310384\/\" class=\"fb-xfbml-parse-ignore\" readability=\"7.0408163265306\">\n<p>To everyone in West Blount County missing packages from FedEx. I currently have a deputy on a location where it appears\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/people\/Blount-County-Sheriffs-Office\/100068902912493\/\">Blount County Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/a> on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/graph.facebook.com\/100068902912493\/posts\/199963782310384\/\">Wednesday, November 24, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>The driver\u2019s identity has not been released, though FedEx <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/12\/01\/1060507288\/fedex-delivery-dumped-ravine-alabama\">provided<\/a> NPR with a statement indicating the suspected individual no longer provides services for FedEx Ground.<\/p>\n<p>In the statement, FedEx added:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"10\">\n<p>We regret the inconvenience this situation has caused and appreciate our customers\u2019 understanding throughout the package recovery process. Where possible, recovered packages are being delivered to the intended recipients. In the event of a damaged shipment, we will make every effort to work with the affected shippers to reach a resolution.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>The&nbsp;BCSO first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=199963782310384&amp;id=100068902912493\">shared<\/a> its discovery of the packages in a November 24 Facebook post.&nbsp;<\/span><span>\u201cI currently have a deputy on a location where it appears 300-400 boxes of assorted sizes have been thrown off a ravine,\u201d the BCSO wrote.
