Andrew Cuomo\u2019s (D), efforts to defend himself from sexual misconduct associations.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">\u201cIt hurts to even say it. It\u2019s embarrassing. But I understand it. And I understand why some people feel the way they do about what I did. I\u2019ve apologized in the past, and I mean it,\u201d Cuomo <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/media\/583811-chris-cuomo-suspension-from-cnn-embarrassing\">stated<\/a> during his SiriusXM radio program.&nbsp;<\/span>\u201cIt\u2019s the last thing I ever wanted to do, was compromise any of my colleagues and do anything but help. I know they have a process that they think is important. I respect that process, so I\u2019m not going to talk about this any more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-264 Component-p-0-2-255\">On Tuesday, CNN announced that documents published by New York\u2019s attorney general indicated that Cuomo had more involvement in his brother\u2019s campaign than network executives were previously aware of \u2014 and thus pulled the host off the air.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThe New York Attorney General\u2019s office released transcripts and exhibits Monday that shed new light on Chris Cuomo\u2019s involvement in his brother\u2019s defense,\u201d CNN said in a statement. \u201cThe documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother\u2019s staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly,\u201d the statement continued. \u201cBut we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother\u2019s efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation,\u201d it concluded.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-264 Component-p-0-2-255\">The CNN anchor pressed sources for information on his brother\u2019s accusers and reported back to the governor\u2019s staff, and was active in helping craft their response to the charges, according to emails and a transcript of his testimony to investigators working for state Attorney General Letitia James. Her office alleges Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-264 Component-p-0-2-255\">Cuomo previously acknowledged talking to his brother and offering advice when the governor faced harassment charges.
