An officer involved in the stop also concludes that Morrison has \u201cno ties\u201d to Kenosha, Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>Neither Morrison, nor anyone at NBC, was ultimately charged with the crime of jury tampering \u201cbecause police interrupted any opportunity to do so,\u201d the Kenosha department <a href=\"https:\/\/lawandcrime.com\/live-trials\/live-trials-current\/kyle-rittenhouse\/kenosha-police-release-bodycam-video-of-kyle-rittenhouse-jury-bus-incident-that-led-to-msnbc-ban-from-courthouse\/\">told<\/a> Law &amp; Crime.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWere you following a vehicle?\u201d an officer asks Morrison, per video footage. According to a police report, the reporter was only one block away from the unmarked bus.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how some of the interaction unfolds, according to Law &amp; Crime:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI was trying to see \u2014&nbsp;I was being called by New York, going, maybe these are people you need to follow, but I, I don\u2019t know,\u201d Morrison said.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI was trying to . . .\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>He trailed off.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYou was trying to what?\u201d an officer asked.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cJust do what they told me to do,\u201d Morrison responded.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNew York told you to follow a vehicle?\u201d the officer asked.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cYes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Morrison was eventually asked about those instructing him to follow the vehicle. He calls a woman named Irene Byron, a booking producer at NBC, and has the officer speak to her. Here\u2019s some of Byron\u2019s explanation for the reporter following the vehicle, per Law &amp; Crime:<\/p>\n<p><em>Um, we \u2014 we \u2014 we were just trying to respectfully, um, just trying to see if it\u2019s, um, if it\u2019s possible to, um, to try and get any leads about \u2014 um \u2014&nbsp;about the, the case, and so we were, we, uh, we were just keeping our distance, um, just to see, like, where, um, peop \u2014 people involved in \u2014 in the \u2014 in the trial, um, are positioned. By no means were we trying to get in contact with any of \u2014 any of the jury members or whoever\u2019s in the car. We just were, um, trying to see, like, where, um, where key players in the trial may be at.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>When the officer asks Morrison if he has any personal ties to Kenosha, the reporter says he \u201cloves\u201d the community and talks about his reporting. The officer dismisses the response and declares that Morrison \u201chas no ties\u201d to the area.<\/p>\n<p>As highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-rittenhouse-judge-bans-msnbc-from-trial-after-man-claiming-to-be-employee-tails-jury-bus\">The Daily Wire<\/a> last month, Judge Bruce Schroeder, the Wisconsin judge overseeing the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, banned MSNBC from the courthouse over the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe jury in this case is being transported from a different location in a bus with the windows covered so that they aren\u2019t exposed to any signs by one side or another or interests in the case, so I\u2019m going to call it a sealed bus, and that\u2019s been done every day and they\u2019re brought here to this building,\u201d the judge told the courtroom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPolice, when they stopped him because he was following at a distance of about a block and went through a red light, pulled him over and inquired of him what was going on.
