(Image via AFP)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAs for how he would curb inflation, [economist and former Obama advisor, Austan] Goolsbee proposed \u2026 boosting immigration to alleviate labor market pressures,\u201d&nbsp;NBC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/politics-news\/republicans-target-biden-democrats-over-inflation-what-would-they-do-n1284839\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> Nov. 28.<\/p>\n<p>Some advocates are calling for more migration while also claiming the extra labor supply will not cut wages.&nbsp;\u201cAllowing more working-age immigrants to enter the U.S. can reduce prices without depressing economy-wide wages,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/2021\/11\/what-biden-should-and-shouldnt-do-to-combat-inflation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> Eric Levitz, a pro-migration writer at <em>New York Magazine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>But business \u2014 including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/17\/jpmorgan-wages-productivity-jumped-amid-trumps-low-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wall Street<\/a> \u2014 believes that migrants cut wages, and even Biden\u2019s White House officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/09\/18\/white-house-amnesty-cuts-wages-but-not-for-the-longer-run\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">admit the trade-off.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>So Democratic legislators are more careful as they pitch the same migration-cures-inflation pitch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf my Republican colleagues think that there is a labor shortage \u2026 then they should welcome the ability for migrants, immigrants who have been living in our communities for decades, they should welcome them having access to work permits,\u201d Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Tx) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2021\/11\/18\/dem-rep-escobar-if-youre-worried-about-inflation-you-should-want-work-permits-for-migrants-in-spending-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> PBS NewsHour on November 2017.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cIf they\u2019re concerned about inflation, as we all are, then we want to get productivity back up.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"8.2845188284519\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Inflation is running hotter than expected amid ongoing supply chain disruptions and a shortage of semiconductors, the chief financial officer of 3M said Monday. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NXtqFnOYGM\">https:\/\/t.co\/NXtqFnOYGM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartNews\/status\/1437555678260903942?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 13, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On November 14, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen seemingly rejected the cut-wages-to-reduce inflation that was proposed to her by CBS\u2019 interviewer on \u201cFace The Nation\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"10\">\n<p>There are a lot of issues involved in immigration, but that \u2014 I believe that is one reason that we do face supply shortages \u2014 shortages of certain kinds of workers \u2026 I mean, we\u2019ve long had a problem of more jobs available for skilled workers and declining opportunities for less skilled workers. So focusing on education and training [for Americans] was important and continues to be.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cLabor supply has been impacted by the pandemic \u2014 [American] labor force participation is down; it hasn\u2019t recovered,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, Biden and his deputies are arguing that his $1.7 trillion Build Back Better bill will reduce inflation by eventually increasing the productivity of U.S. workers.<\/p>\n<p>But that bill would allow government and business executives to also import millions of new workers and consumers who will reduce productivity and drive down wages while also spiking&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2021\/11\/05\/white-house-media-hide-largest-update-to-our-immigration-system-in-30-years\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">inflation in housing prices<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A columnist at Bloomberg.com <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/tuXUO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted November 21<\/a> that the big-spending bill is not intended to curb inflation:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"9\">\n<p>The truth is that the Democrats aren\u2019t pursuing this spending bill in the spirit of meeting a pressing national objective. They\u2019re just trying to cram as much of the progressive agenda as they can get through Congress before Republicans can end their control of it in the next election. That\u2019s not the kind of advertising pitch likely to work on the public, though. And so we have ended up with the president pretending that this bill is his big idea to whip inflation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In the United States, migration curbs Americans\u2019&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/economy\/2020\/07\/11\/president-trump-wins-big-on-secret-meatpacking-robots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">productivity<\/a>, shrinks their political&nbsp;<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&amp;rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS946US946&amp;oq=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.breitbart.com+%22john+binder%22+%22demographic+change%22&amp;aqs=chrome..69i57j69i58.10228j0j4&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">clout<\/a>, and widens&nbsp;regional wealth&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/08\/13\/zuckerbergs-data-says-amnesty-gives-economic-windfall-coastal-democratic-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gaps<\/a>.
