He said he talked with Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI) about the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think she knew somebody who was there,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m not \u2014 I don\u2019t know anybody who was injured.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A 15-year-old student opened fire with a handgun at Oxford High School in Oxford Township, Michigan, <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/shootings-michigan-detroit-school-shootings-de276c6f90ff36f5c32bce7698ce9128\">according<\/a> to reports. He also directed that flags be lowered to half-mast to mourn the victims.<\/p>\n<p>Biden condemned the attacks as evidence of growing hatred and bigotry against Asian-Americans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur silence is complicity,\u201d he said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2021\/03\/19\/remarks-by-president-biden-at-emory-university\">during<\/a> his visit at Emory University. \u201cWe cannot be complicit. We have to speak out.
