The claim originates from a website that says it posts \u201chumor, parody, and satire.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dunn stepped down from her position as Biden\u2019s senior adviser on Aug. 12, a role that was always intended to be temporary, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/08\/12\/biden-adviser-anita-dunn-white-house-504216\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Politico<\/a>. She announced that she would remain a close confidant of the president, but would be returning to her consulting firm, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skdknick.com\/staff\/anita-dunn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SKDK<\/a>, the outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/07\/02\/anita-dunn-step-down-white-house-497811\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/100262232314879\/videos\/659653105028779\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">viral video<\/a> shared on Facebook alleges she was arrested at her home in Bethesda, Maryland, on Nov. 20 by U.S. Marines for her participation in various crimes. The video goes on to claim she worked to \u201cdismantle the U.S. military, defund domestic law enforcement, strengthen the ANTIFA and BLM movements, drive inflation, bankrupt businesses, push vaccination and mask mandates, and embolden foreign adversaries like China.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact searched press releases from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marines.mil\/News\/Press-Releases\/?Search=Anita+Dunn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marine Corps<\/a>, as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/search.usa.gov\/search?query=Anita%20Dunn&amp;affiliate=defensegov&amp;utf8=%26%23x2713%3B\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Defense<\/a>, but found nothing about the military arresting Dunn. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ryan-bruce-31a140102\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Bruce<\/a>, a Marine Corps spokesperson, said the claim was false in an email to Check Your Fact. A spokesperson for Dunn likewise denied the validity of the story.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis story is completely false, and no such events have occurred,\u201d said the spokesperson for Dunn in an email to Check Your Fact. <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/11\/17\/fact-check-military-not-arrest-george-w-bush\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: No, The Military Did Not Arrest George W. Bush)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The post appears to have stemmed from a Nov. 23 <a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/2021\/11\/military-arrests-bidens-deep-state-handler-anita-dunn\/\">article<\/a> published on the website Real Raw News titled, \u201cMilitary Arrests Biden\u2019s Deep State Handler Anita Dunn.\u201d Real Raw News includes a <a href=\"https:\/\/realrawnews.com\/about-us\/\">disclaimer<\/a> on its website that reads, in part, \u201cThis website contains humor, parody, and satire.\u201d The Disclaimer has not stopped some social media users from sharing the article\u2019s headline and contents as if they are real reports.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time misinformation originating from Real Raw News has gone viral. Check Your Fact has previously debunked claims shared on Facebook that alleged <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/08\/19\/fact-check-andrew-cuomo-arrested-military\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Cuomo<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/11\/17\/fact-check-military-not-arrest-george-w-bush\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George W.
