He claimed that polls are \u201cstabilizing for the Democrats,\u201d not addressing why they have begun to show Republicans ahead when Democrats have typically led in the generic polls.<\/p>\n<p>In his response, Maloney blamed the \u201ctough political environment out there\u201d from the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic. He said that Americans are \u201cfrustrated\u201d that the coronavirus pandemic has gone on for so long. In addition,&nbsp;Maloney acknowledged that \u201cprices are up,\u201d including gas and groceries prices.<\/p>\n<p>The host also referenced the aftermath of the Virginia and New Jersey elections, where Governor-elect Glenn Younkin (R),&nbsp;Lieutenant Governor-elect Winsome Sears (R), and down-ballot Republicans flipped the state House in Virginia. Numerous polls have shown Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/24\/poll-republicans-leads-democrats-in-generic-congressional-ballot-heading-into-2022\/\">beating<\/a> Democrats in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/10\/poll-republicans-edge-out-democrats-in-generic-ballot-as-midterms-gear-up\/\">generic<\/a> ballot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/03\/poll-republicans-lead-democrats-in-generic-congressional-race\/\">leading up<\/a>&nbsp;to the election when respondents say who they would elect to represent them, as&nbsp;Democrats continue to pass partisan agenda items, such as the infrastructure package and the reconciliation bill. One generic poll from RealClearPolitics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/midterm-election\/2021\/11\/07\/realclearpolitics-republicans-lead-generic-ballot-first-time-since-2014\/\">showed<\/a> Republicans leading for the first time since 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Next year, all 435 members in the House are up for reelection, and the Republicans&nbsp;only need to net five seats to pick up the House majority after the midterms.<\/p>\n<p>So far, 18 Democrats have&nbsp;decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2021\/11\/29\/18-democrats-will-abandon-the-house-more-than-triple-gop-needs-to-win-back-majority\/\">officially call it quits on the House<\/a> \u2014 from either&nbsp;retiring or running for a different position, such as the Senate or in a local or state election \u2014 and have left their seats open for a&nbsp;fight. This gives&nbsp;House Republicans more chances to&nbsp;net five seats to gain the majority and retire House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as the speaker since 18 is more than&nbsp;triple the number of seats the Republicans need.<\/p>\n<p><i>Jacob Bliss is a reporter for Breitbart News.
