Swim Swam <a href=\"https:\/\/swimswam.com\/penns-lia-thomas-breaks-200-500-free-records-in-meet-with-princeton-cornell\/\">reported<\/a> on November 20 that Thomas \u201cblasted the number one 200 free time and the second-fastest 500 free time in the nation on Saturday, breaking Penn program records in both events.\u201d Thomas \u201cswept the 100-200-500 free individual events and contributed to the first-place 400 free relay in a tri-meet against Princeton and Cornell,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThomas began the day with a 1:43.47 (24.6\/26.2\/26.4\/26.1) to win the 200 free,\u201d Swim Swam noted of Thomas\u2019 dominance. \u201cOnly half a second off the NCAA A cut, it is the second-fastest women\u2019s 200 free time in the nation so far this season, and it would have scored in the A final at 2021 NCAA Championships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thomas&nbsp;beat teammate Bridget O\u2019Leary &nbsp;by 6.1 seconds (1:49.56). \u201cNext, Thomas clocked a 49.42 to win the 100 free with the only sub-50,\u201d the outlet notes.
