A federal judge denied her bail \u201cand ordered that she be held at the Brooklyn Detention Center, where she has been held since shortly after her July 2 arrest in New Hampshire,\u201d The Wire wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Epstein died in his prison cell on August 10, 2019, But contrary to Maxwell\u2019s claim, New York City\u2019s chief medical examiner ruled his death a suicide.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, eight women saying they were victims of Epstein detailed their alleged encounters with him in a Lifetime documentary titled \u201cSurviving Jeffrey Epstein.\u201d The Daily Wire\u2019s Amanda Prestigiacomo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/the-younger-you-look-the-better-it-is-alleged-epstein-victims-detail-abuse-maxwell-role\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;that one of the alleged victims \u201crecalled Maxwell showing her how to give Epstein a massage, which she said quickly turned into the pair sexually abusing her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Maxwell faces six counts for allegedly recruiting, grooming and abusing four minor girls with Epstein in the U.S. and in Britain between 1994 through 2004. She is also accused of engaging in \u201cgroup sexual encounters\u201d with Epstein and an underage girl \u2014 identified in court documents as \u201cMinor Victim-1\u201d \u2014 from 1994 to 1997, according to the indictments.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unknown if Maxwell will take the stand, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/11\/28\/1059247578\/the-ghislaine-maxwell-trial-is-about-to-begin-heres-what-to-watch-for\">NPR<\/a> laid out what her lawyers are expected to say in her defense.&nbsp;\u201cThe defense is expected to argue that there is no way Maxwell can get a fair trial; that she is, in essence, being tried for Epstein\u2019s crimes and has already been found guilty in the court of public opinion,\u201d said NPR.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, prosecutors \u201cwill likely explain the charges against her without exaggerating or overperforming, said former assistant U.S. attorney and experienced trial lawyer Gene Rossi,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/11\/29\/ghislaine-maxwell-trial-heres-what-to-expect\/?utm_source=sailthru&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=news_alert&amp;utm_content=20211129&amp;lctg=611d0b710d3f693e4e63ecf1&amp;utm_term=NYP%20-%20News%20Alerts\">according<\/a> to the New York Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI expect them to be very cautious but firm \u2014 strategic, but not inflammatory.
