However, when he was only three-months-old, Arkaydin passed away, the <em>Journal Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/journaltimes.com\/news\/local\/almost-three-years-after-her-sons-death-racine-mother-may-soon-hear-his-heartbeat-again\/article_81f8f57f-1275-5e95-9a06-4ea925c58432.html\">reported<\/a> Sunday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The loss occurred almost three years ago.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CV240bzrM5p\/?utm_source=ig_embed&amp;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\" readability=\"-0.26923076923077\">\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"lee-article-text\" readability=\"34\">\n<p>\u201cHe was such a good boy,\u201d Struebing recalled. \u201cHe was so cute, literally perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>A few weeks ago, the baby\u2019s father, Jeremy Marquez, was found guilty of second-degree reckless homicide in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs58.com\/news\/racine-man-charged-in-3-month-old-sons-death-pleads-not-guilty\">connection<\/a> to the infant\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the man faces up to 25 years behind bars.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cEven after three years and after trial, I still don\u2019t have the answers I am looking for,\u201d Struebing told the newspaper. \u201cYou know, I\u2019m never going to have the answers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When Struebing traveled to Kenosha in February 2019 to look at a car, she asked Marquez to babysit their child. She later received a call from Marquez and was told her son was not breathing, and Marquez reportedly told her to return home immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Struebing dialed 911 and when emergency crews arrived, Marquez gave Arkaydin to them. The baby was eventually taken to Children\u2019s Wisconsin Hospital in Wauwatosa.<\/p>\n<p>Arkaydin endured 45 minutes of CPR and several brain scans before being pronounced brain-dead, the paper said.&nbsp;Doctors discovered signs of trauma that were consistent with him being shaken.<\/p>\n<p>Now, 22-year-old Struebing continues working through the challenges of life on her own.<\/p>\n<p>She also feels guilty about what happened and wishes she could change the past.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Meanwhile, she frequently visits Arkaydin\u2019s grave after work. However, it does not feature the baby\u2019s name.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral costs and other financial difficulties meant she was unable to provide a headstone, so she is working to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/arkaydin-stone?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&amp;utm_medium=copy_link_all&amp;utm_source=customer\">raise<\/a> the funds via a GoFundMe page.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just so big right now on trying to get him a stone,\u201d Struebing explained, adding, \u201cI feel horrible my son doesn\u2019t have a stone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When doctors initially asked the young woman about donating her baby\u2019s organs, she was not sure but eventually allowed his tiny heart and kidneys to be donated in the hope another child might be given life.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Struebing learned that was exactly what happened and contacted the family. Their son, whose name is Peter, was granted a second chance because of Arkaydin\u2019s little heart.<\/p>\n<p>Peter is now enjoying books and playing at home with his family.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hidden-print subscriber-ad\" readability=\"6.3845177664975\">\n<div class=\"lee-article-text\" readability=\"36.342639593909\">\n<p>The family contacted her with an invitation to hear her son\u2019s heartbeat, and she cannot wait.<\/p>\n<div class=\"lee-article-text\" readability=\"37.107382550336\">\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m gonna hear my son\u2019s heartbeat again.
